Welcome to the Library


This guide is meant to help you find your way in the library and to its main information resources.

You can find similar but more detailed information in he guide Doctoral students


    Where in the library?

    Books for circulation are on the 3rd and 4th floors of the library and reference material, which is not lent out, is on the 2nd floor. 

    Printed journals are on the 3rd floor but most of the library´s journals are available online.

    Audiovisual material and sound recordings are on the 4th floor.


      Dewey Classification – Main Classes

      The libray material is classified in ten main classes of the Dewey Decimal Classification and shelved accordingly.

      000   Computer science, information & general works
      100   Philosophy & psychology
      200   Religion
      300   Social sciences
      400    Language
      500    Natural sciences & mathematics
      600    Technology (Applied sciences) – Medicine
      700    Arts and recreation
      800    Literature
      900    History, geography & biography
